The Laboratory for the Development of Intelligent Diagnostic Technology and Equipment for Major Blinding Eye Diseases was proposed by Tsinghua University, with Tsinghua Changgung Hospital as a joint construction unit, and Professor Wong Tienyin, Vice-Provost of Tsinghua University and Dean of the Tsinghua Medicine, serving as the project leader. The laboratory will focus on the research and development and transformation of ophthalmic equipment, with an emphasis on large field-of-view high-resolution fundus imaging instruments and wearable eye disease monitoring devices based on flexible intelligent sensing. The aim is to break through existing technical bottlenecks and provide personalized medical solutions for patients. At the same time, a monitoring and management technology system for chronic blinding eye diseases will be established, promoting precise diagnosis and treatment using artificial intelligence and large language models.
