Tsinghua Medicine International Advisory Council (TMAC) was officially established in 2023, bringing together distinguished experts, academicians, and leading figures from the world’s top academic medical institutions. The Council serves as a strategic platform to integrate high-quality global expertise, providing Tsinghua Medicine with forward-looking, high-level advice and support in key areas including medical education, scientific research and translation, clinical applications, and campus development.

Since inception, TMAC has successfully conducted four virtual meetings. These meetings have been very useful and provided valuable insights on the progress and development of Tsinghua Medicine journey thus far and future. TMAC meets at least once a year, or more frequently as needed.

By leveraging the participation and global perspectives of its international advisors, Tsinghua Medicine aims to further advance its capabilities in medical innovation, education reform, clinical translation, and international collaboration - contributing to the establishment of a world-class medical system and supporting the “Healthy China 2030” national strategy.

The first in-person meeting was held in Beijing, China, in 2025.
