Practice Center for Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Established in 2011, Practice Center for Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences is a university-level experimental platform managed by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and located in Zheng Yutong Medical Building at Tsinghua University.
As a teaching platform,the Pharmacy Experimental Teaching Center serves undergraduate students majoring in pharmacy, medicine and related disciplines. Based on laboratory research training and professional practice, the center offers basic, comprehensive, challenging and exploratory experimental courses, constructing a pharmaceutical experimental teaching platform that integrates basic teaching, independent research and professional practice. The center focuses on undertaking teaching tasks such as professional laboratory courses for undergraduate students in pharmacy, partial laboratory courses for undergraduate students in medicine, undergraduate scientific research practice, and graduation design.
The center has five laboratories, namely Pharmaceutical Laboratory, Pharmacology Laboratory, Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Analysis Instrument Laboratory, and Cell Laboratory. The total area of the laboratory is about 470 m2, and there are nearly 400 teaching and experimental equipment. The core equipment includes high performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometer, nano particle size analyzer, electrostatic spinning machine, transdermal diffusion tester, dissolution tester, freeze dryer, vacuum concentrator, Carbon dioxide cell culture box, ultra-clean workbench, rotary evaporator, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, melting point apparatus, microplate reader, polymerase chain reaction instrument, gel imager, fluorescence microscope, flow cytometer, confocal fluorescence microscope, etc.
