The Graduate Office (Department of Basic Medical Sciences) will feedback the evaluation opinions to the doctoral student and his/her supervisor either incognito (the name of the evaluation expert will be replaced by the evaluation number) or publicly according to the evaluation expert's wishes. Doctoral students should carefully modify the thesis according to the deficiencies or suggestions of the evaluation experts, and write modification instructions; If the student has different views on the expert opinions, he should explain in the revised explanation, and submit it to the defense committee and the medical and biomedical sub-committee after the supervisor's review and signature.

After entering the dissertation review process, each doctoral student can have two rounds of dissertation review in two years. If the evaluation passes, the thesis defense can be organized; If both the two rounds of evaluation fail, the sub-committee shall no longer organize the defense, and students should plan for withdrawal.

Bachelor-straight-to-doctorate students who meet the requirements for transferring to a master's degree can apply for transferring to a master's degree. Doctoral students who meet the requirements can apply for graduation. Bachelor-straight-to-doctorate students who do not apply for graduate transfer and doctoral students who do not apply for completion will be expelled if they do not apply for withdrawal.

The chairman of the Academic Degree Committee can deal with the opinions of experts in the following ways:

1. For papers with grade A or B and no need for major modification, the supervisor will agree to organize the defense after confirming the modification;

2. If there are two or more C's or D's in the evaluation opinion, the review is not allowed and shall therefore enter the second round of evaluation.

3. If the evaluation opinion contains a C or D, it will be handled according to the case:

1）If there is a C in the evaluation opinion, the evaluation experts believe that the dissertation has reached the academic level of the doctoral dissertation, but the dissertation can be applied for defense only after major modification. Doctoral students should make a major modification to the dissertation. The revised thesis and the explanation shall be reviewed by the supervisor and the steering committee of Graduate Education, and the chairman of the sub-committee shall review and agree before sending back to the original evaluation experts for review;

2）If there is a D in the evaluation opinion, the evaluation expert thinks that the dissertation is not up to the level of the doctoral dissertation and does not agree to apply for defense, the doctoral student needs to make a significant modification of the dissertation, and the modification time should not be less than 3 months. The revised thesis and explanation shall be reviewed by the supervisor and the steering committee of Graduate Education, and the chairman of the sub-committee shall review and approve the revised thesis and explanation before sending it back to the original evaluation experts for review;

3）Doctoral students or supervisors can apply for reconsideration if they have academic disputes over the evaluation opinions of experts. The doctoral student should write his/her opinion and submit the revised thesis and revised explanation to the chairman of the sub-committee for review after the approval of the supervisor and the graduate education steering committee. The sub-committee may handle the reconsideration application in the following ways:

1. If the sub-committee does not agree to the review, doctoral students should revise their thesis as required and enter the second round of evaluation.

2. If the sub-committee considers that the revised dissertation has reached the academic level of the doctoral dissertation, the dissertation does not need to enter the second round of evaluation and the defense shall be organized.

3. The sub-committee reinvited two new experts to review the papers. If the result of the re-evaluation still has C or D, the evaluation will fail, and this round of submission will end. Doctoral students must make significant changes to their thesis before applying for the second round of evaluation.

4. If "writing level" or "basic knowledge" is "medium" or "poor" in the evaluation opinion, doctoral students must carefully modify the thesis, and the revised thesis and modified instructions are reviewed and approved by the supervisor and the chairman of the sub-committee before entering the review.
