"Four-parties" Doctoral Rotation Policy and Arrangement

1. The quota of students accepted by the tutor can be recorded in the form of fixed guide cards. The number of fixed guide cards is equal to the quota of the tutor.

2. "Doctoral rotation" is a compulsory course for Basic Medical Sciences doctoral students.

3. Students can choose to rotate from October to March of the next year. During this period, students can choose a fixed tutor or rotate freely. During this period, the fixed tutor will sign the fixed tutor card.

4. After deducting the number of direct tutors, the remaining number of rotating students will be recorded in the form of rotating cards. The number of rotation cards is the same as the number of remaining places. The number of rotating students that the instructor can accept in each round should not exceed the number of rotating cards.

5. Students are divided into three rounds of rotation, and the corresponding cards are divided into three rounds. Academic Affairs will issue three rounds of rotation cards to tutors no later than the first round. Students must hand in their rotation cards no later than Friday of the week when each round begins.

6. Rotation time: about 2 months for each round.

7. Students can choose any rotating tutor in the school of Life Sciences, The Joint Center for Life Sciences (Part of Tsinghua University), the Department of Basic Medical Sciences of the School of Medicine, and the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

8. The supervisor can accept rotations from all Ph.D. students in the School of Life sciences, the Department of Basic Medical Sciences in the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmacy (participating in the rotation part), and the CLS program.

9. Once a student chooses to participate in the rotation, he/she cannot quit before completing three rounds of rotation.

10. With the consent of the teachers and students, the graduation project can be counted as one round of rotation, which needs to occupy one round of rotation quota of the tutor.

11. At the end of each round, students and tutors fill out assessment forms for each other, and only students who complete and pass three rounds will receive credits for the round.

12. The time to hand in the guide card of rotating students will be determined separately. Students who are still undetermined after the third round of rotation can go to the laboratory with a fixed guide quota for the fourth round of rotation for a month. Students who are still undetermined after the fourth round of rotation will be handled by the quadripartite Committee.

13. Grants for CLS students will be distributed by the Joint Center for Life Sciences (otherwise determined). Grants for other students during orientation and rotation (September) will be uniformly distributed by the Joint Centre for Life Sciences, and grants for students after the rotation will be distributed by the rotation Laboratory (two months for each round: October-November for the first round, December-January for the second round, Feb-March for the third round; From April, the pilot laboratory will be responsible for it.
