清华大学国际合作与交流处和清华大学医学院将于2026年4月23日联合举办易卜拉欣·阿布巴卡（Ibrahim Abubakar）教授主题演讲会。本次活动特邀英国医学科学院院士、美国国家医学院院士、德国国家科学院院士（Leopoldina）及欧洲科学院院士、伦敦大学学院（UCL）副教务长易卜拉欣·阿布巴卡教授，就“对我们未来健康的威胁：当今世界必须采取的行动”作专题演讲。诚邀广大师生参与。

Join the keynote lecture by Professor Ibrahim Abubakar on April 23! Organized by the Office of International Affairs and Tsinghua Medicine, this event invites Professor Ibrahim Abubakar, Vice Provost of University College London (UCL), Fellow of the UK Academy of Medical Sciences, the US National Academy of Medicine, the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, and Academia Europea, to deliver a special lecture entitled "Threats to Our Future Health: What the World Must Do Now". Faculty and students are sincerely welcome to attend.

内容简介 | Content Introduction

We live in a world of compounding crises. COVID-19, climate change, rising conflict, and the rapid advance of artificial intelligence have shattered long-held assumptions about global stability — and exposed just how unprepared our health systems remain. Drawing on the work of the Lancet Commission on 21st Century Global Threats to Health Prof Abubakar will outline major threats facing the world. Based on a conceptual model, the Commission has spent years asking a fundamental question: what poses the greatest danger to human health between now and the end of this century? Using rigorous data and modelling from the Global Burden of Disease study, the Commission has identified 17 major threats ranging from obesity to nuclear conflict and the malicious use of AI. Some threats stand out as the most urgent. Crucially, these burdens will not be shared equally, the poorest and most marginalised communities will suffer most. The solutions are within reach, but only with political will. The talk will address these solutions going beyond simply responding to threats.

我们身处一个多重危机交织的世界。新冠肺炎疫情、气候变化、冲突加剧以及人工智能的飞速发展，打破了人们对全球稳定的固有认知，也暴露了全球卫生体系应对能力的不足。Ibrahim Abubakar 教授将基于《柳叶刀》“21 世纪全球健康威胁委员会”的研究工作，梳理当今世界面临的主要健康威胁。围绕概念模型，委员会聚焦一个核心问题：从现在到本世纪末，人类健康面临的最大威胁是什么？基于全球疾病负担研究的严谨数据与模型分析，委员会识别出 17 项重大健康威胁，涵盖从肥胖问题、核冲突乃至人工智能的恶意使用等多个方面。其中，一些威胁尤为紧迫。

关键的是，这些健康威胁的影响并非均等分布，最贫困、最边缘化的群体将承受最严重的后果。解决方案并非遥不可及，但关键在于是否具备足够的政治意愿。本次讲座不仅将探讨应对这些威胁的路径，更将进一步思考如何从被动应对走向主动治理。

Professor Ibrahim ABUBAKAR is an internationally recognised academic leader and clinician-scientist with over 30 years of leadership spanning major research universities, national public health agencies and global health governance. As Vice Provost (Health) at UCL, he leads a health portfolio across education, research and innovation, working directly at the intersection of academic excellence, NHS partnership, and global reach. He is a Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at UCL, NIHR Senior Investigator Emeritus and a member of the Global Preparedness Monitoring Board, University College London NHS Trust Board, UCL Partners Board and the Board of Resolve to Save Lives. He is the chair of the WHO Clinical Trials Forum and Lancet Migration: global collaboration to advance migration health. He holds elected Fellowship of the UK Academy of Medical Sciences, US National Academy of Medicine, the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, and Academia Europea - placing him in elite company globally.

易卜拉欣·阿布巴卡（Ibrahim Abubakar ）教授是国际公认的学术领军人物与临床科学家，拥有逾 30 年资深领导经验，任职于顶尖研究型大学、国家级公共卫生机构及全球健康治理领域。作为伦敦大学学院（UCL）分管健康事务的副教务长，他全面统筹健康领域的教育、科研与创新工作，推动学术卓越、英国国民保健制度（NHS）合作与全球影响力深度融合。他同时担任伦敦大学学院传染病流行病学教授、英国国家健康研究所（NIHR）荣誉资深研究员，并任职于全球防范工作监测委员会、伦敦大学学院国民保健制度信托基金会董事会、UCL Partners 董事会以及 “决心拯救生命” 组织董事会。阿布巴卡教授现任世界卫生组织临床试验论坛主席、《柳叶刀》移民健康项目主席，该项目致力于通过全球合作推动移民健康事业发展。他先后当选英国医学科学院院士、美国国家医学院院士、德国国家科学院院士（Leopoldina）及欧洲科学院院士，跻身全球顶尖学者行列。
