胡晔教授,清华大学兆易讲席教授、清华大学生物医学工程学院院长、北京市战略科学家。归国前曾担任美国杜兰大学(Tulane University)生物医学工程、生物化学与分子生物学及微生物学教授,杜兰大学生物技术创新领域Weatherhead校长讲席教授,杜兰医学院智能分子诊断中心创始主任,杜兰大学创新发展学院指导委员会主任,美国路易斯安那州癌症研究中心诊断项目总负责人。同时担任美国ACS Nano副主编,2023年3月入选美国医学与生物工程学会(AIMBE)会士,同年11月入选美国发明家学院(NAI)院士,2024年6月当选为国际生物医学工程学院(IABME)院士,2025年9月当选为欧洲科学院院士。2025年7月获得诊断与检验医学学会(Academy of Diagnostics&Laboratory Medicine,简称ADLM)临床化学特定研究领域杰出贡献奖。

胡晔教授本科毕业于兰州大学化学系有机化学专业;硕士毕业于德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校物理化学专业;博士毕业于德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校生物医学工程专业。

研究专注于工程化多组学、纳米医药、机制驱动的生物标志物发现和检测方法的开发。与传统临床微生物学的生物标志物发现和检测研究不同,所做工作利用纳米材料的特殊属性来提高检测方法的性能和可重复性,用于分析传染病和恶性疾病的类似特征,促进全方位诊断、预后和治疗评估检测方法的发展,并作为一个长期目标,重新定义使用分子测试区分疾病阶段的诊断标准。以结核分枝杆菌诱导的结核病为主要研究模型,着重于识别和验证外泌体(EV)携带的与疾病相关的蛋白质和核酸靶标的变化。同时,也致力于研究非EV相关的肽生物标志物,以及探索血清/血浆和EV 生物标志物的变化,这些变化与Mtb增殖或毒力、免疫系统的抑制或遏制,以及药物耐药性表型或疾病复发的发展有关。创新性的检测平台的应用,如高分辨率质谱、纳米材料探针和CRISPR技术,是研究的重要组成部分。

最终目标是将这些研究成果转化为简单、经济有效的临床前检测方法,以加强疾病筛查并快速准确评估治病效果。
