We are excited to share highlights from the Tsinghua Medicine International Advisory Council (TMAC) 2025 meeting!

Established in 2023, TMAC brings together world-leading experts and academics to provide guidance and collaborate with Tsinghua Medicine on education, research, clinical care, and campus development. Over three inspiring days, TMAC members visited our affiliated hospitals, engaged in vibrant and deep discussions with our senior leaders, faculty and students, and shared their vision for the future of Tsinghua Medicine .

Some key insights from TMAC members included:

• Advancing the academic health system at Tsinghua University by integrating research, education, and clinical practice.

• Leveraging Tsinghua’s strengths in engineering and computer science, in complementarity with the long traditions of medicine at institutions like The University of Edinburgh, and Nanyang Technological University Singapore to drive meaningful collaborations.

• Seizing the opportunity to build strong programs in research translation and clinical care, turning ideas into real-world medical impact.

• Recognizing Tsinghua Medicine as a young but vibrant school, full of energy and potential, with global partners ready to collaborate through student exchanges, education initiatives, and joint research to tackle health challenges worldwide.
