Tsinghua Medicine (formerly Tsinghua University School of Medicine) has been officially recognised by the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) as one of eight newly approved overseas medical schools, with effect from 1 February 2026.

With this recognition, graduates of Tsinghua Medicine’s MD (Eight-Year Medical Experimental Class) and MD (Outstanding Physician-Scientist Program) will be eligible to apply for medical registration with the Singapore Medical Council and to practise medicine in Singapore, subject to the fulfilment of SMC’s prevailing requirements.

This recognition reflects the growing international acknowledgement of Tsinghua Medicine’s strengths in medical education, clinical training, and physician-scientist development, as well as its commitment to cultivating medical professionals with strong clinical competence, scientific rigor, and global perspectives.
