On September 6, Tsinghua Medicine and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Wang Hongwei, Vice President of Tsinghua University, and Joseph Sung, Senior Vice President of NTU and Dean of LKCMedicine, attended the ceremony.

Wang Hongwei noted that the agreement marks an important milestone in bilateral collaboration in medicine. He expressed hope that the two institutions will use this opportunity to advance student exchange, clinical training, joint research, and faculty collaboration—working together to address global health challenges and cultivate leaders in medicine with a global vision.
Joseph Sung praised the dynamic growth of Tsinghua Medicine, describing the signing as a landmark for LKCMedicine. He looked forward to deepening cooperation in student exchange, academic collaboration, and exploring frontier areas such as artificial intelligence in healthcare.
The MOU was signed by Joseph Sung and Wong Tien Yin, Vice Provost of Tsinghua University and Senior Vice-Chancellor of Tsinghua Medicine. Under the agreement, the two institutions will pursue joint talent development and research collaboration, contributing to the advancement of global medicine.
