Zhang Youran is a student in Tsinghua Medicine's Outstanding Physician-Scientist Program (MD/PhD). During his clinical exchange abroad, he didn't just encounter a different system — he encountered a different way of seeing. How doctors listen. How patients express. How trust shapes every consultation, often more than the diagnosis itself.

That perspective doesn't come from a textbook. It comes from being present, curious, and willing to learn from everything — including the pace of a ward, the layout of a clinic, and the quiet observations during daily hospital work.

Youran returns to Tsinghua University with sharper instincts, deeper empathy, and a clearer sense of the physician-scientist he is becoming.
