The Beijing Multimodal Medical Imaging Engineering Technology Research Center was established based on the School of Medicine of Tsinghua University and was officially recognized by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission in May 2012. The research team includes many famous scientists in the field of international magnetic resonance imaging and many young backbones who have studied abroad. There are currently more than 10 scientific researchers, including 2 professors, 6 researchers, 1 engineer, 4 MRI platform support personnel, 2 postdoctoral fellows, 30 doctoral students, and 10 master students.
The center takes radiation imaging, nuclear medicine imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound imaging, molecular imaging and other multi-modal images as the research objects. It conducts research on key technologies such as imaging equipment, acquisition methods, image processing and analysis, and uses image storage and transmission. The system builds a multi-modal image processing platform based on the system, studies the segmentation, registration, fusion, analysis and visualization of multi-modal image data, and proposes a complete set of medical imaging diagnosis procedures for specific diseases.
The center takes the national strategic needs as the goal, clinical application-oriented independent innovation, medical imaging research as the core research content, and provides the society with the core engineering technology achievements of biomedical imaging and the standardized process of multi-modal medical imaging clinical application. And set up a multidisciplinary R&D team to cultivate technical and management talents in the field of biomedical imaging, and make contributions to the development of the national biomedical imaging industry.
