研究领域与方向

Dr. Liu studies bacterial biofilms, which are densely-packed bacteria communities. Biofilms are highly resistant to drugs and to our immune systems, causing serious health problems. Using interdisciplinary and quantitative approaches, Dr. Liu and his team focus on developing innovative technologies to culture and probe biofilms, studying their spatiotemporal dynamics, and developing more effective strategies to treat bacterial infections.
